Product description

Spathiphyllum Diamond Variegated, also known as the Variegated Peace Lily, is a stunning variegated variety of the classic Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum wallisii). The dark green foliage of this indoor plant is beautifully contrasted by pale marbled variegation, creating an elegant and eye-catching display. This compact, bushy plant thrives in medium light conditions, making it an excellent choice for indoor spaces that need a touch of refined greenery.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Spathiphyllum Diamond Variegated is known for its air-purifying qualities, effectively filtering toxins such as benzene, formaldehyde, and carbon monoxide. It produces cream-coloured flowers with the characteristic spathe and spadix structure, adding subtle beauty to its lush foliage. Despite its rarity, this plant remains easy to care for, requiring moist, well-draining soil and occasional watering to maintain its vibrant appearance.

Ideal for homes, offices, and shaded corners, this Peace Lily cultivar brings a sophisticated charm to any setting. Its low-maintenance nature makes it perfect for both beginner and experienced plant enthusiasts. Whether displayed as a standalone statement piece or grouped with other tropical plants, the Spathiphyllum Diamond Variegated adds a touch of elegance and freshness to indoor environments.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Top Tip

For healthy growth, clean Spathiphyllum’s glossy leaves regularly with a damp cloth to remove dust and improve photosynthesis. If you notice drooping leaves, it’s often a sign of underwatering—water promptly, and the plant should perk up within hours. Add a balanced liquid fertiliser once a month during the growing season for lush foliage and frequent blooms. Keep the plant in a consistent environment, avoiding drafts or temperature fluctuations, to keep it thriving year-round.

How to Water

Water Spathiphyllum consistently, keeping the soil moist but not soggy. Check the top 2–3 cm of soil and water when it feels dry to the touch. During warmer months, increase watering to support active growth, but reduce frequency in winter when the plant’s growth slows. Avoid letting water sit at the base of the pot, as this can cause root rot. Use filtered or rainwater if possible, as Spathiphyllum is sensitive to chemicals found in tap water.

How to Plant

To plant Spathiphyllum, use a well-draining, rich potting mix to provide the ideal environment for its roots. Choose a pot with drainage holes to prevent waterlogging, and fill it partially with soil before placing the plant’s root ball inside. Ensure the base of the plant sits just below the pot’s rim, then backfill with more soil and gently firm it down. Avoid overpacking the soil, as this plant prefers aeration. Position in a location with indirect sunlight to protect its delicate leaves from scorching.
