Product description

A compact herbaceous shrub which works perfectly as part of rockeries and shrub beds, the Agapanthus ‘Star Quality’ is a species of African Lily or Lily of the Nile. A richly coloured plant with strappy, vibrant green foliage growing in a neat clump beneath long, slender stems which carry panicles of small pale to deep purple-pink flowers which bear central stripes of rich colour along each petal.

Plant in any moist, well-drained soil and keep in full sun. During the Winter it is best kept in a sheltered location and protected from frosts. May suffer some leaf damage and dieback during harsher Winters but will return the following Spring.

Instructions

Top Tip

Mulch or use horticultural fleece to protect the plant’s roots against frost damage in winter.

How to Water

Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist between spring and early autumn. Provide water more sparingly outside the growing season.

How to Plant

Choose a sunny sheltered spot and ensure the soil drains freely. Dig a generous hole and position the plant inside, planting with the crown just below the surface. Fill the hole in with soil, gently firming with your foot and water in well.
