Product description

A brightly coloured and mildly fragrant plant well-suited for any sunny garden display. The Achillea Moonshine, also known as Yarrow, is a low maintenance herbaceous perennial shrub with attractive, feathery foliage of grey-green and upright, branching stalks carrying flat clusters of yellow flowers with a long blooming period lasting from end of Spring, throughout the Summer and into the Autumn months.

Plant in moderately moist, well-drained soils and keep in full sun in an open, exposed position in the garden. Tolerant of most conditions and drought tolerant once established. Not suited to heavy, overly wet soils which can cause the plant to droop.

Please Note: Images are for illustrative purposes only and designed to be a representation of the item(s) being sold. Herbaceous plants die back below the soil in the Winter and may be supplied in their dormant state during this time. Fresh growth will be seen the following Spring.

Instructions

Top Tip

Deadhead spent blooms throughout the summer to promote further flowering.

How to Water

Water plants regularly and thoroughly, particularly during dry spells, to help protect against powdery mildew.

How to Plant

Achilleas thrive in full sun or partial shade and are tolerant of most soil types, providing the area is kept moist but well-drained. In spring, when the risk of frost has passed, dig a hole that is twice the width and depth of the root ball and add in some grit to help with drainage. Position the plant in the hole and backfill with soil, firming down gently to prevent air pockets, then water the soil thoroughly.
