Product description
Burkwood Osmanthus is a stunning, slow-growing evergreen shrub with a rounded habit, popular in use for low maintenance garden screening and hedging or a standalone shrub.
In spring, this attractive hedge bush will release clusters of small, highly scented white flowers. These are then followed by some black fruits come autumn. Because of the perfumed blooms, this plant will do great near a walkway or patio for an amazing whiff of the sweet aroma as you pass by.
Easy to care, fairly hardy, unfussy and attractive-looking, Burkwood is an excellent alternative to Boxwood as it is not susceptible to Box plight.
The plants will be ideal for a brand new hedge row, and can be purchased in packs of 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100, with bulk quantities at a significant discount.

Top Tip
Lightly prune in late winter or early spring before fresh new growth emerges, but only if required.
How to Water
Water well when planting and regularly for the first year, especially during hot weather. Once established, Burkwood Osmanthus is relatively drought-tolerant and only needs to be watered during particularly dry spells.
How to Plant
Clear the area of weeds, loosen the soil, and dig a hole around twice the size of the rootball. Plant Burkwood Osmanthus in full sun or partial shade in any moist but well-draining soil. Position the plant so the top of the rootball is level with the soil surface. Backfill the hole with soil and compost, firming down gently as you go, and water in well. Leave 45-60cm between plants.
