Product description
Prunus Lusitanica Angustifolia Portuguese Laurel plants are garden shrubs which are perfect as bushy hedging or for creating garden screening for privacy. Long and slender leaves are glossy and vibrant green, with small white flowers blooming against the green backdrop throughout the spring, making way for small red berries in autumn.
These garden plants are perfect for hedging thanks to their attractive, dense foliage and hardiness - it will grow well in most soil types, in cold exposed areas and even in shade. They are relatively low maintenance shrubs but can be pruned in spring or autumn to maintain their size and shape.

Top Tip
Hold off until after flowering and lightly prune Portuguese laurel in late spring or early summer to maintain a manageable and attractive size and shape.
How to Water
Water well when planting and regularly for the first year, especially during hot weather. Once established, consistent watering helps promote lush, dense, green foliage.
How to Plant
Clear the area of weeds, loosen the soil, and dig a hole around twice the width of the rootball. Plant Portuguese laurel in full sun or partial shade in any moist but well-draining soil. Position the plant so the top of the rootball is level with the soil surface. Backfill the hole with soil and compost, firming down gently as you go, and water in well. Leave 30-60cm between plants.
