Product description
Our Buxus Sempervirens are evergreen, box hedging plants. This classic variety bears a dense and leafy appearance, and its bright green foliage creates an eye-catching hedge for your garden. Their vibrant leaves will grow at a slower rate, progressing by 10 - 15cm every year. Once they mature and get to their maximum height and coverage, they are perfect for screening, creating hedge borders, partitioning and more.
Better known as Common Box, they gain greater coverage when spaced 2 -3ft apart. Placing them in full sun or partial shade and planting in moist, well-drained soil is recommended, although clay and chalk soils are also suitable. They should be watered regularly so the soil remains moist as this promotes good growth. You can choose between purchasing 1, 5, 10 or 25 hedges.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a growers pot.

Top Tip
Add a thick layer of mulch annually in spring to retain moisture and provide a boost of nutrients.
How to Water
Water regularly for the first year, particularly during the growing season. Drought tolerant once established.
How to Plant
Position buxus in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-draining soil. It grows well in pots and containers but is equally happy planted in the ground. Dig a hole around twice the size of the root ball and mix in some organic matter. Place the plant in the hole and backfill with soil and compost, ensuring the buxus is planted to the same soil level as it was in the nursery pot. Firm down gently and water in well.
