Product description

This Honeysuckle variety lives up to its name - this indeed ‘prolific’ and vigorous free-flowering climber will bloom in an abundance of highly fragrant, sweetly scented white flowers that are loved by bees from April to August. In autumn, these may also be followed by small black berries.

In more pleasant winters or when sheltered, the semi-evergreen Lonicera may keep its dark green foliage year-round. If the leaves do succumb to the frosty months, fresh new ones will appear again every Spring.

The pollinator-friendly plant will look fantastic draped over a robust tree, scrambling over a hedge or creating natural-looking cover for any surface that you may want to conceal.

Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only - The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Instructions

Top Tip

Prune Lonicera after flowering to maintain shape and encourage more blooms.

How to Water

Water Lonicera regularly, especially during dry spells, to keep the soil moist but not soggy. Once established, it can tolerate periods of drought.

How to Plant

Plant Lonicera in well-draining soil, preferably in full sun or partial shade. Dig a hole that is twice the size of the root ball, place the plant in the hole, and backfill with soil. Water thoroughly to settle the roots.
