Product description
Gardeners Dream Olive Trees has long been favoured and revered for its various uses from the leaves and edible fruit, although in the UK the likelihood of fruit is greatly decreased to the limited exposure to the sun. The Olive tree is a medium-sized evergreen tree and produces lovely, white blossoms. Perfect to grow in small gardens, patios & borders.
The leaves are duality of colours, with the topside being a delightful green and the underside a silvery-green contrast. As the trees age, their growth and bark often develop a significant amount of character, with each tree developing its own “personality” or growth characteristics.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This tree will be supplied in a growers pot (not the pot in the listing image - which is for illustration purposes only). Be advised that during the winter months of November - March, the tree will be supplied in its dormant stage of development.

Top Tip
Prune olive trees annually in late winter or early spring to remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. This encourages healthy growth and improves air circulation within the canopy. For better fruit production, thin the branches to allow sunlight to penetrate. If growing olives for decorative purposes, lightly trim to maintain a neat shape while avoiding heavy pruning, which may affect flowering and fruiting.
How to Water
Water olive trees thoroughly after planting and regularly during the first year to establish strong roots. Allow the topsoil to dry out between waterings, as olives prefer well-drained conditions and are drought-tolerant once established. During prolonged dry spells, provide supplemental watering, particularly during the growing season. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to waterlogged soil and root rot. For best results, water early in the morning or late in the evening to minimise evaporation.
How to Plant
To plant an olive tree, choose a sunny, sheltered location with well-draining, sandy or loamy soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and slightly deeper. Gently tease out the roots before placing the tree in the hole, ensuring the root collar is level with the surface. Backfill with a mix of soil and organic compost, firm it down gently, and water thoroughly. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds, but avoid placing mulch directly against the trunk to prevent rot.
