As it's name suggests it initally develops attractive bright orange/yellow foliage during spring, in summer the leaves become more of a bright green colour, these then develop into a striking bright yellow later in autumn.
This japanese maple prefers to be planted in a partially shaded position, prolonged exposure to full sun could damage the plant so some shelter is preferred. How to Plant
To plant an Acer tree, select a sheltered spot with partial shade and moist, well-draining, slightly acidic soil.
