Product description

Strawberry ‘Snow White’ is a mid-season fruiting bare root strawberry producing a heavy cropping of signature reversed colour berries, which start off green and mature into white with small, red seeds on the surface. ‘Snow White’ possesses a strong scent and an interesting flavour which is likened to pineapple. Its white colour also makes it less attractive to birds, which normally search for more colourful fruits and berries.

These Strawberry plants will arrive as a bare root, ready to plant. Upon arrival they are dormant with any leftover foliage shrivelled and dry. They should be planted soon after arrival and once planted they will be revitalised, with new growth emerging quickly and flowering soon after.

Strawberry ‘Snow White’ is an easy to grow and reasonably hardy bare root runner, and can be planted or potted in planters, pots, containers, or baskets. It will grow best in full sun and should be soaked in lukewarm water before planting to help rehydrate it. Water generously and apply a generous layer of mulch. Keep the soil moist to ensure healthy growth.

Instructions

Top Tip

Mulch around strawberry plants to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and keep the fruit clean. Regularly remove runners to focus energy on fruit production.

How to Water

Water strawberry plants thoroughly after planting, keeping the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water deeply to encourage root growth. Once established, water during dry periods, ensuring good drainage to prevent waterlogging.

How to Plant

Plant bare root strawberries in well-draining soil with full sun. Dig holes large enough for the roots to spread out, placing the crown level with the soil surface. Space plants 30-45cm apart. Backfill with soil and gently firm it around the roots.
