Penstemon PepTalk Purple is a herbaceous perennial plant that brings its glossy, dark green leaves in a compact growth habit. Gorgeous spikes of purple flowers will show as the white forms from the centre. Purple will then surround the top of the throat the flowers possess. The overall appearance is one that is very unique and, also, bring great attractiveness to the area of the garden you place it in. Penstemon are best planted in moist, well-drained soil, alongside placing it in full sunlight. Regular watering of the plant is recommended, with warmer weather conditions seeing that level increase to cope with the temperature rise.

How to Water
Water deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Avoid overhead watering to prevent mildew and root rot. Ensure good drainage, as penstemon dislikes sitting in wet soil.
How to Plant
Plant penstemon in well-drained, sandy or loamy soil in a sunny location. Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the root ball, and place the plant level with the surrounding soil. Space plants about 45cm apart to allow for growth.
