Product description

Grown for their slender, good length pods, these Masterpiece Green Broad Bean seeds flower throughout spring and summer and are renowned for attracting pollinators.

After flowering, Masterpiece Green plants are covered with slender green pods, producing up to 7 beans each. These broad beans are bursting with nutrients including protein and vitamins A, C, and E. They freeze well for cooking throughout the year and are juicy and flavoursome, making a delicious side dish or a fantastic addition to soups and stews.

Grow Masterpiece Green Broad Beans in a sunny, sheltered spot in fertile, moist but well-draining soil. As they reach up to 1.5m tall, broad bean plants may need some support. Remove the top 6cm of the plant after the first beans form to help prevent black fly from becoming a problem.

Sow indoors from February to March or outside from March to April. Plant seedlings out from late March, allowing 10cm between plants and 60cm between rows. Harvest from July to August.
