Product description

These organic Brussels Sprouts seeds grow into quirky, leafy plants with tall stems covered in small, round, deep green sprouts for months on end. The are relatively slow growing but produce a reliable crop that can be extended by regular harvesting.

Groninger Brussels Sprouts are versatile seasonal vegetables that can be steamed or roasted as a classic side or added to soups and stews for hearty winter meals. They are high in fibre, potassium, iron, calcium, vitamins, and antioxidants and are a popular part of a traditional Christmas dinner in the UK. The flavour improves as the cold weather sets in, and they’re at their most flavoursome right in time for the festive celebrations.

Sow Brussels Sprouts seeds indoors from February to March or outdoors from March to April. Plant seedlings out from August to October, allowing 30cm between plants and 65cm between rows. Choose a sheltered, sunny spot in moist but well-draining soil. Water regularly until established and provide a cane or other support when they start to grow tall. Harvest from November to March.
