Product description

These organic Cabbage seeds grow into leafy evergreen plants boasting a healthy crop of large, rounded heads with heavily crinkled grey-green foliage. This variety has a lovely, sweet flavour and comes into harvest when most other vegetables are out of season.

Vertus Savoy Cabbage plants are extremely hardy and thrive in cooler temperatures. They prefer a spot in full sun and flourish in slightly alkaline, moist but well-draining soil. Use a net or fleece to protect young plants from birds.

Sow indoors from April to May or outdoors from May to June. Plant seedlings out from May to June, allowing 35cm between plants. Harvest from January to April.
