Product description
Chrysanthemums - also known as 'mums' are beautiful plants which will add vibrant colours (pink, white or yellow - depending which variety you purchase) to your garden or landscape display. Renowned for their hardiness, these plants can tolerate harsh winters and drought spells, so are fairly low maintenance to take care of. Be sure to plant in rich and cool soil and allow for plenty drainage.

Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

How to Plant
Wait until the threat of frost has passed and choose a sheltered spot. Plant chrysanthemums in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. Dig a hole slightly larger than the nursery pot and position the plant so the top of the root ball is at soil level. Backfill the hole with soil and compost, gently firm down, and water in well. Leave 30-45cm between plants.
