Product description
Yes, it's the same one that grows the beans that get you ready for the day every morning!
The coffee plant is a great choice for a more unique and quirky house plant, and ticks all the boxes for the perfect indoor specimen with its ease of care, resilience and attractive looking long, deep green leaves.
You might wonder if you will actually be able to harvest coffee beans from your new Coffee plant; while it is possible, it will require good care in optimal conditions when grown indoors.
Once it matures, which takes a few years, it will bloom - but even with the best intentions the size of the plant dictates how many flowers will appear. You can hand pollinate the blossoms to help form the fruit.
Your Coffee Arabica plant will thrive in a position that benefits from indirect sun or partial shade, in a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic with a pH of 5.5 - 6.5. Water regularly - the soil should be moist to touch at all times, do not allow it to dry out completely. Avoid waterlogging, and remove any excess water from the plant saucer.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
House Plant Size Guide
House plants come in a wide array of shapes and sizes depending on the variety and maturity of the plant.
6cm/12cm/15cm/19cm/23cm nursery pots are the most common size of pot that they are sold in. This measurement is the diameter at the top of the pot.
12cm potted plants are the most popular providing great value for money and an instant impact. Larger plants that come in pots of 20cm+ are great for making a statement in any room and can represent years of growth to get to that level of maturity and size.

Top Tip
Provide high humidity for coffee plants by misting the leaves regularly or placing a tray of water nearby. Coffee plants thrive in temperatures between 18–24°C, so keep them away from draughts or sudden temperature fluctuations. Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every two weeks during the growing season to encourage lush growth and vibrant foliage.
How to Water
Water coffee plants regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry slightly between waterings, particularly in winter when growth slows. Use lukewarm water to avoid shocking the roots, and ensure excess water drains away to prevent root rot. Rainwater is ideal, as coffee plants prefer slightly acidic conditions that tap water may alter.
How to Plant
To plant a coffee plant, choose a spot with bright, indirect light and well-draining, slightly acidic soil. Use a pot with adequate drainage or amend garden soil with organic matter to ensure proper aeration. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, place the plant gently, and backfill with soil, ensuring the crown is at the soil surface. Firm the soil lightly and water thoroughly. If growing indoors, ensure the pot is large enough for root growth and repot every two years.
