Product description
Coleus Top Crown is ideal for bringing colour and texture interest to beds, borders, and pots, filling any gaps between flowers with vividly coloured foliage. For this reason, Coleus is also known by the common name, Painted Nettle. Top Crown is a unique blend of different leaf types and hues, including shades of green, yellow, bronze, burgundy, and copper.
Coleus is usually grown as an annual, however, it also works well as a year-round houseplant, brightening up any room in the home. Grow Painted Nettle in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-draining soil. Water regularly, especially if growing in pots, and pinch out the central stem to promote bushy new growth and prevent the plant from becoming leggy.
Sow under glass from January to March. Plant out from May, when the risk of frost has passed, allowing 10cm between plants. Blooms from June to October.
