Product description

Tendergreen Dwarf French Bean seeds are low maintenance and easy to grow, producing impressive yields of medium-long green pods early in the season. Don’t let the size of the plant fool you - these compact plants produce plenty of green beans over the course of several weeks. The stringless beans reach around 15cm long and are often covered in purple spots that disappear during cooking.

Once harvested, the beans can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days before using. However, they freeze well, and the generous crop can be defrosted as required for cooking throughout the year. They can be steamed or blanched to create a tasty side dish or added to stews and soups for added vitamins and nutrients.

Sow indoors from March to April or outside from May to June, planting out from late May when the risk of frost has passed. Grow Tendergreen Dwarf French Beans in full sun, allowing 20cm between plants. They grow well in most moist but well-draining soil types and are well suited for growing in planters or pots. Harvest from July to September. French Bean seeds are a fabulous addition to any hamper-style allotment gifts.
