Product description

Eschscholzia Lady Marmalade is a relatively new California Poppy variety, producing masses of rich, cheerful, golden-yellow blooms from July to September. These semi-double flowers resemble roses and bring a sense of elegance and charm to any outdoor space, brightening beds and borders and growing well in patio pots. Lady Marmalade is easy to grow and is a magnet for pollinators, enticing bees and butterflies into the garden.

Sow Eschscholzia Lady Marmalade seeds directly thinly in the flowering site, 1cm deep and in drills 15cm apart. Germination generally takes 14-21 days and when the seedlings are large enough to handle, they can be thinned out to prevent overcrowding. Choose a spot in full sun in well-draining soil and allow 15cm between plants. Water California Poppies regularly until they are firmly established and become drought tolerant. Deadhead spent blooms to promote further flowering and prevent self-seeding.
