Product description
Forget-Me-Nots have earned their place as a classic spring flower for a reason. Not only do they have a charming, whimsical appearance, but they are also easy to grow and simple to look after. This Light Blue variety is no exception. Its light green foliage gives way to clusters of small, delicate pastel-blue flowers with cheery yellow eyes blooming from April to June. These pretty flowers are a magnet for pollinators, enticing early bees and butterflies into the garden.
Sow Myosotis Light Blue seeds in trays from April to June and store at 15-20C. Germination generally takes 14-30 days. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into pots and acclimatise gradually before planting outside between June and October. Alternatively, sow the seeds directly in the flowering site 1cm deep and leaving 30cm between rows. Once the plants are settled into their growing site, flowers will appear from April to June the following year.
Choose a spot in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-draining soil and allow 15cm between plants. Water Forget-Me-Nots regularly until they are firmly established. Deadhead spent blooms to promote further flowering and prevent self-seeding.
