Product description

Gaillardia pulchella Kings Double Mixed seeds produce a stunning show of fiery double pom-pom blooms from June right through to October. The flowers grow on tall stems to 50cm and their fiery shades of red, orange, and yellow will be the envy of your neighbours. Irresistible to pollinators, these Blanket Flowers entice bees and butterflies into the garden.

Sow Gaillardia seeds in trays from March to April and store at 20-23C. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into pots and acclimatise gradually before planting outside from May, when all risk of frost has passed. Choose a spot in full sun in well-draining soil and allow 40cm between plants. Water Blanket Flowers regularly until they are firmly established and deadhead spent blooms to promote further flowering.
