Product description

Giant Winter is a hardy Spinach that, as the name would suggest, provides an abundance of large, leafy vegetables during the coldest months of the year.

This variety is easy to grow and boasts huge, pointed, soft leaves that are ideal for adding to hearty soups and stews as well as quiches and pasta dishes. It also makes an excellent side dish or can be used raw in salads and smoothies. Spinach is bursting with goodness including iron and vitamins A, K, and C.

Grow Giant Winter Spinach plants in a bright, sheltered spot in fertile, moist but well-draining soil. Providing cloche protection during the worst of the winter weather helps protect the leaves from wind damage and lengthens the harvest period, giving you more fresh Spinach leaves for longer.

Sow Spinach seeds from August to September. Plant out from September to October, allowing 25cm between plants and 30cm between rows. Harvest from October to December.
