Product description

Perfect for adding height and structure towards the back of borders, these Hollyhock Happy Lights Mixed seeds produce an impressive show of large flowers on tall stems all summer long. The flowers bloom from July to September in various shades of red, pink, peach, yellow, and white. Bursting with nectar and pollen, they are a magnet for pollinators, enticing bees and butterflies into the garden.

Sow Hollyhock seeds in trays and store in a propagator or warm place at 15-20C. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into pots before hardening off gradually and planting outside from April to October. Seeds sown in summer can be overwintered in a cold frame for protection against the worst weather and planted out in spring the following year. Choose a sunny spot in well-draining soil and add a stake if required for support. Deadheading spent blooms helps prolong the flowering period.
