Product description

These Ipomoea purpurea Lazy Luxe Mixed flower seeds are ideal for growing up trellises, walls, fences, and pergolas. They have a vigorous climbing habit, and the lush, bright green foliage is covered with delicate flowers in a charming mix of pink, purple, blue, red, and white for months on end. Each flower only lasts a single day - hence the common name, Morning Glory - but new ones appear continuously day after day, producing an extended flowering period from June all the way through to October and the first frosts.

Sow Ipomoea seeds 4 to a pot and store under glass at around 18C. When the seedlings are large enough to handle harden them off gradually and plant outside after the risk of frost has passed. Leave 15cm spacing between plants. Alternatively, sow directly outdoors in later spring, sowing in groups of 3 seeds and thin plants out as they grow. Choose a spot in full sun in moderately fertile well-draining soil. Remove spent blooms regularly to keep the plant looking its best and prolong the flowering period.
