Product description

Lagerstroemia Lafayette are outdoor garden plants which can be grown as small trees or as low-growing shrubs. Dark green, deciduous foliage blooms in spring, before dying off over winter and repeating the process again the following season. In midsummer, masses of small white blossoms, sometimes tinged with lavender will begin to bloom, and can last all the way through until autumn.

Plant Lagerstroemia Lafayette in moist, well-drained, loamy, or chalky soil in a sunny area in the garden. These garden shrubs provide excellent ground cover in borders and beds, or they could also be used as low hedge plants or planted in a plant pot on the patio. This plant is also a great choice for anyone looking for smaller, flowering trees for garden patios, beds, and borders.

Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth.

Instructions

Top Tip

Prune in late winter to shape and remove old wood, encouraging vibrant blooms. Plant in full sun for the best flower display.

How to Water

Water deeply after planting and regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Once established, water weekly during dry spells, ensuring the soil is moist but not waterlogged.

How to Plant

Plant Lagerstroemeria in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, position the plant, and backfill with soil. Space them according to their mature size. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and prevent weeds.
