Product description

These Lobelia Pendula Cascade flower seeds produce a colourful show of small, delicate flowers in an array of pink, red, purple, blue, and white hues. The trailing blooms are ideal for planting in window boxes and hanging baskets, providing plenty of colour interest from May right through to September. Lobelia plants are a magnet for pollinators, enticing bees and butterflies into the garden.

Sow Lobelia seeds in pots or trays from January to March. Leave the seeds on the surface and keep in a propagator or warm place at 20-25C. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into pots and gradually harden them off. Choose a spot in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-draining soil and plant the seedlings out, leaving 30cm between plants. Water Lobelias routinely, particularly during dry spells. Remove spent blooms regularly to keep the plant looking its best and prolong the flowering period.
