Product description

This Mesembryanthemum Sunshine Mix of flower seeds produces an eye-catching display of low-growing, daisy-like flowers in an array of pastel colours. Better known as Livingstone Daisies, these purple, pink, yellow, orange, and creamy-white blooms brighten beds and borders from June to September, creating an attractive carpet of colour.

Sow Livingstone Daisy seeds in pots or trays from February to April and keep in a propagator or warm place at 18-20C. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into pots and gradually harden them off. Choose a spot in full sun in well-draining soil and plant the seedlings out, leaving 20cm between plants. Water Mesembryanthemum plants routinely, particularly during dry spells but ensure the soil never becomes waterlogged. Remove spent blooms regularly to keep the plant looking its best and prolong the flowering period.
