Vigorous and disease-resistant, these Nicotiana Perfume Mixed flower seeds produce an excellent show of summer flowers. They grow well in beds and borders but are also well-suited to container gardening, brightening patio pots with a striking pop of colour. From June right through to September, the branching stems are decorated with open clusters of fragrant, tubular flowers in various shades of red, pink, purple, and white. These blooms are a magnet for pollinators, enticing bees and butterflies into the garden all summer long.

Sow Nicotiana seeds from February to March and keep them in a propagator or other warm place at 18-23C. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into pots before hardening off gradually. Choose a sheltered spot in full sun in slightly acidic, moist but well-draining soil and plant the seedlings out when all risk of frost has passed, leaving 45-60cm between plants.
