Product description

Petunia 'Bonanza Mixed F1' is a robust and colourful variety that adds a vibrant splash to any garden. This mix is renowned for its large, weather-resistant flowers that come in a variety of bold colours, making it an excellent choice for containers, borders, and hanging baskets. The plants have a compact growth habit, ensuring they maintain a tidy appearance even during peak blooming periods. Ideal for UK gardens, this mix flourishes in sunny locations but can also tolerate partial shade, ensuring versatile placement options in your garden design.

To grow Petunia 'Bonanza Mixed F1', sow seeds indoors from February to April in seed trays or pots. The seeds are tiny and require light to germinate, so do not cover them with soil. Maintain a warm temperature of around 21C, and ensure the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots or directly into your garden beds after the last frost. Space the plants 15-30cm apart in well-drained soil, in a location that receives full sun to partial shade.

For a continuous display of flowers from June to October, regularly deadhead the plants by removing spent blooms. This encourages the plants to produce more flowers throughout the season. Keep the soil moist but not overly wet, and feed the plants with a balanced liquid fertiliser every two weeks during the growing season to ensure they thrive. With minimal care, Petunia 'Bonanza Mixed F1' will reward you with a stunning display of vibrant flowers all summer long.
