Product description
Phlebodium Blue Star is an indoor Fern plant which has some more lush and clean foliage in comparison to other Ferns. Each leaf is elongated and still has that drooping nature about them to create that look of the classic Fern, however, the droop is less noticeable on the Bue Star. More commonly known as the Golden Polypody, you should place this plant in areas where you can guarantee the plant regular access to light shade. Then, when watering, you should make sure to do this once every two weeks, whilst misting the plant in between waterings. Always water the Blue Star from the side and not directly onto the plants fronds.

House Plant Size Guide
House plants come in a wide array of shapes and sizes depending on the variety and maturity of the plant.
6cm/12cm/15cm/19cm/23cm nursery pots are the most common size of pot that they are sold in. This measurement is the diameter at the top of the pot.
12cm potted plants are the most popular providing great value for money and an instant impact. Larger plants that come in pots of 20cm+ are great for making a statement in any room and can represent years of growth to get to that level of maturity and size.

Top Tip
Place your Phlebodium in a bathroom or near a humidifier to maintain the high humidity levels it thrives in. Avoid exposing the plant to cold draughts or extreme temperature changes, as these can cause stress. Feed monthly during the growing season with a diluted, balanced fertiliser to support its lush foliage and vibrant growth.
How to Water
Water your Phlebodium regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Allow the top 1–2 cm of soil to dry out slightly between waterings to prevent overwatering. Use tepid, filtered water, and mist the plant occasionally to mimic its natural humid habitat. Reduce watering during the cooler months when growth slows, but ensure the air remains humid to keep the fronds healthy.
How to Plant
To plant a Phlebodium, use a shallow container with excellent drainage and fill it with a loose, well-draining soil mix, such as one made for ferns or epiphytic plants. Position the plant in bright, indirect light, avoiding harsh direct sunlight that can scorch its fronds. Keep the rhizomes just above the soil surface, as burying them too deeply can hinder growth. Water lightly after planting to settle the soil and place the container in a humid environment for optimal growth.
