Product description

Rudbeckia 'Forever Gold' is an extremely compact deciduous perennial shrub that produces a constellation of star-shaped flowers. These flowers are golden yellow, are highly decorative and a bunch of them planted together provides quite an attractive effect, they can also provide long lasting cut flowers. Bees and butteflies love this particular variety, ideal for attracting busy pollinators to your garden.

Rudbeckia generally bloom from late summer until later in the year when it begins to frost, they require plenty of sunlight, so it would be best to plant in an exposed area of your garden, they also do best in dry soil, provided it has plenty of drainage.

Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth.

Instructions

Top Tip

Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage more blooms and extend the flowering season of Rudbeckia.

How to Water

Water Rudbeckia regularly, especially during dry spells. While they are drought-tolerant once established, they prefer consistent moisture. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot, ensuring the soil is well-drained.

How to Plant

Plant Rudbeckia in full sun with well-drained, fertile soil. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, place the plant in, and fill the hole with soil. Water thoroughly after planting and space plants about 30-45cm apart to allow for growth.
