Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Instructions
Top Tip
Train abeliophyllum to grow up a warm house wall to minimise frost damage and ensure an elaborate show of flowers.
How to Water
Water thoroughly after planting and regularly until the shrub is full settled. Once established, water Abeliophyllum during dry spells.
How to Plant
Plant abeliophyllum in full sun in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Choose a sheltered spot to prevent late winter or early spring frosts from damaging fresh new growth. Dig a square hole to the same depth and 3 times as wide as the root ball, using a fork to loosen the soil around the edges. Position the plant in the hole and fill with soil, taking care to firm it down to prevent air pockets. Add a layer of mulch a few centimetres away from the crown and water well.
