Product description

A clump-forming, evergreen shrub with stand-out blooms on tall, upright stems. The Agapanthus 'Megan's Mauve' is a variety of African Lily with lovely, funnel-shaped, lavender-blue or mauve flowers which appear in rounded panicles atop tall, slender stems which rise above narrow, mounded, strap-like foliage of mid-to-dark green leaves. A great option for smaller flower beds or as a container plant.

Plant in moist, fertile, well-drained soils and keep in full sun in a sheltered position. Can be planted outside in temperate regions but container planting is advised to avoid harsh Winter by moving under glass. Mulching and other forms of frost protection are also advised.

Please Note: Images are for illustrative purposes only and designed to be a representation of the item(s) being sold. Herbaceous plants die back below the soil in the Winter and may be supplied in their dormant state during this time. Fresh growth will be seen the following Spring.

Instructions

Top Tip

Mulch or use horticultural fleece to protect the plant’s roots against frost damage in winter.

How to Water

Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist between spring and early autumn. Provide water more sparingly outside the growing season.

How to Plant

Choose a sunny sheltered spot and ensure the soil drains freely. Dig a generous hole and position the plant inside, planting with the crown just below the surface. Fill the hole in with soil, gently firming with your foot and water in well.
