Product description
Ajuga Petite Parakeet is a vibrant addition to any garden due to the colour upon its leaves. This evergreen perennial provides year-round interest through its golden foliage, which also bears an orange tint with light veining. These features make the plant stand out in borders, pots, containers and more, whilst the plant is also useful as a low-growing ground cover that can suppress weeds. This variety grows to an ultimate height of 0.2m and spread of 0.5cm.
Commonly known as Bugleweed, Ajuga plants cause little fuss in care and maintenance. Place in an area of the garden that gets partial or full shade as exposure to sunlight can scorch the leaves. Soil should be kept moist and well-drained, whilst watering the plant well. This variety will also tolerate periods of drought, maintaining its vibrancy in pots, containers and more.

Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

How to Plant
Ajuga tolerates full sun, but for the best appearance, plant it in partial shade in moist, well-draining soil. Dig a hole marginally larger than the root ball and position the plant before backfilling the hole with soil and compost. Leave 30-50cm between plants to allow for growth and prevent overcrowding. Firm the soil down gently with your hands and water in well.
