This plant will thrive in either a fully sunny or partially shaded area, it can tolerate pretty much any type of soil.

Instructions

Top Tip

Provide winter protection for young plants to help prevent them succumbing to frost damage.

How to Water

Water regularly until fully established then only during particularly dry spells.

How to Plant

Choose a sheltered spot in full sun and plant arbutus in well-drained soil. Mix in some organic matter to give the soil a boost of nutrients before placing the plant in the hole and backfilling it, gently firming down as you go. Water in well, ensuring excess water can drain away freely.
