Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Prune azaleas after blooming to maintain shape and encourage better growth for the next season. Avoid cutting into old wood, as it may not regrow, and focus on removing dead or damaged branches.
How to Water
Water azaleas regularly to keep the soil consistently moist, especially during dry spells. Avoid overwatering, as they prefer well-drained soil. Water at the base, not on the leaves, and mulch to help retain moisture and reduce watering needs.
How to Plant
Choose a partially sunny or shaded spot with acidic, well-draining soil. Dig a hole slightly wider and as deep as the root ball. Place the azalea, keeping the root ball level with the soil surface. Backfill, firm gently, and water thoroughly. Mulch to retain moisture and keep roots cool.
