Product description
With very good disease tolerance, a compact habit and superb flavour, this mix of 5 Strawberry 'Sweetheart 'is, in our opinion, one of the best garden varieties to be introduced in recent years.
Yield is good too, in its second year, in its peak cropping week around the third week of June, research shows that each Sweetheart plant will produce about a third more fruit than the old favourite Elsanta.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Instructions
Top Tip
Use a net to protect the fruit and prevent birds from devouring the crops.
How to Water
Keep the soil moist but well-drained, watering daily in the morning or evening during dry spells. Be careful to only water the surrounding soil and try not to get the fruit wet.
How to Plant
Hold out until the risk of frost has passed and plant bare root strawberries in spring. Soak the roots, but not the crown, in warm or tepid water for up to an hour before planting. Choose a sheltered, sunny spot and dig a hole deep and wide enough to accommodate the plant’s roots, adding a layer of organic matter to the bottom. If necessary, it doesn’t do any harm to cut up to a third off the roots to fit the available space. Position the plant in the hole, gently spreading the roots before filling it with soil and watering generously.
