Product description
Bergenia Spring Fling is an extremely attractive, clump-forming, evergreen perennial. The plant produces long red stems that bears bright and eye-catching, magenta-pink flowers, with these forming above lush, dark green foliage which will gain a purple tint as the year progresses into Autumn and Winter. This plant is ideal for pots, containers, beds, borders and more and should be planted in moist, well drained soil. Regular watering is recommended, as well as occasional pruning of any sections that show signs of wilting off. When positioning the plant, partial shade and full sunlight conditions are acceptable, with the latter being more beneficial for long term growth.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a grower’s pot.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Deadhead spent blooms to encourage a longer flowering period.
How to Water
Water young plants regularly and established bergenias during particularly dry spells. Those grown in shade need less water than those grown in full sun.
How to Plant
Bergenias are versatile plants that thrive in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-draining soil. They tolerate full shade conditions, but their flowering will be much reduced in shady areas. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, mix in some garden compost, position the plant, and backfill the hole, firming down as you go. Water in well.
