Buddleia Davidii 'Sugar Plum' is a hardy, deciduous shrub with arching branches of lance-shaped leaves. This is an eye-catching new cultivar with long clusters of pinkish-red flowers that look amazing when in full bloom and will attract butterflies and other pollinators to the garden. This wonderful Butterfly Bush is very easy to grow and drought tolerant once established, a truly undemanding shrub that offers a long season of colour and interest.
Plant this much admired Buddleia in any moist, well drained garden soil in a suitable sunny position. Deadhead faded buddleja flowers to prolong the flowering season. Prune back hard in late winter/early spring, removing all of the previous year's growth to three or four buds.

How to Water
Water young plants regularly for the first year or so until they are fully established. After this, buddleias should only need to be watered during particularly dry spells.
How to Plant
For the best show of flowers, plant buddleia in a sheltered spot in full sun. Ensure the soil drains well and dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Dig in some garden compost and position the plant, placing the top of the root ball just below soil level. Backfill with soil and compost and water in well.
