Depending on the season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves. Collections or 'mixed' listings for plants will be selected depending on availability and carefully hand-picked to ensure their quality.

Instructions

Top Tip

Use horticultural fleece or extra mulch to protect the roots against frost damage in winter. Potted plants should be moved indoors over the coldest months.

How to Water

Water young plants regularly during the first year. Drought tolerant once established.

How to Plant

Callistemon grows well in partial shade, but for the best show of flowers, plant in full sun. Choose a sheltered spot with moist but well-draining soil and dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, adding in some garden compost to boost the nutrients in the soil. Gently tease out the roots and place the plant in the hole before backfilling. Firm down gently and water in well.
