Product description
Callistemon 'Honeypot', sometimes known as Australian Bottlebrush, is a beautiful and unusual shrub which is great for use as part of borders and beds. The lovely aromatic bright green leaves sit below slender, arching branches bearing clusters of long, thin flowers that look like spikes which are normally part of a tight cluster, giving them the appearance of a bristled brush.
Plant in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full sun. Keep sheltered from Winter frosts and high winds. Tolerant of drier soils and coastal areas.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. Ongoing plant maintenance within our nursery is essential, meaning some lines are pruned back at certain times of the year to encourage new growth.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

How to Plant
Callistemon grows well in partial shade, but for the best show of flowers, plant in full sun. Choose a sheltered spot with moist but well-draining soil and dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, adding in some garden compost to boost the nutrients in the soil. Gently tease out the roots and place the plant in the hole before backfilling. Firm down gently and water in well.
