Apache is a small-medium sized chilli pepper, with a sweet taste but strong, spicy kick. The peppers mature from green through to red, and can be eaten at any stage Peppers are full of vitamins and antioxidants, especially Vitamin C. Chilli Peppers can be used in a wide range of dishes, such as in curries, stir-fries or pastas. Grow in any, fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered spot. Plants can be grown in containers or grow bags, or kept in a greenhouse or polytunnel. Harvest when the fruits skin is glossy.

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

How to Plant
Choose a warm, sheltered spot to plant chillis in moist, well-draining soil where they can enjoy full sun conditions. Dig in plenty of garden compost, place the plants in the hole and backfill so they are planted to the same level as they were in the pot. Firm down gently and water in well. Leave 30-45cm between plants.
