Cordyline Southern Splendour is an evergreen, grassy shrub with a palm-like look. Its colourful appearance begins with deep shades of both red and pink forming in a striped manner across the foliage of the plant. In Summer, small, scented white flowers will add a different dimension to the plant, making any pot, bedding, border or garden display gain a gorgeous shrub. Moist, well-drained soil is required, whilst keeping it placed in full sunlight is best. Apply approximately 1 inch of water each week so the shrub consistently thrives, unless natural rainautumn is regularly present, allowing for watering to lessen.

Water regularly during the first growing season. After this, cordylines are relatively drought tolerant and only need to be watered during particularly dry spells.
How to Plant
Plant cordylines in the ground or in containers in a spot that enjoys full sun or partial shade with moist but well-draining soil. Enrich the soil with well-rotted organic matter and dig a hole around twice as wide as the root ball. Position the plant so the top of the root ball is at soil level then backfill with soil and compost, gently firm down, and water in well.
