Product description
More commonly known as Pampas Grass, Cortaderia selloana Green Goblin makes a great feature plant. The grassy shrub boasts long, slender blue-green leaves with tall stems of feathery creamy-white flowers giving the plant its distinctive appearance.
Cortaderia selloana Green Goblin is well suited to being grown in pots, where its size and spread can be contained. It makes a striking accent plant for patios, decking and driveways but is more often used in borders or as a feature in the centre of the garden.
This low maintenance shrub is undemanding and thrives with just a little attention. Container-grown plants will need to be watered more often than those planted in the ground, but otherwise, a prune and tidy up at the start of Spring is all that is needed to keep this decorative grass looking its best.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a growers pot.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Instructions
Top Tip
Cut back pampas grass in late winter or early spring to encourage new growth and maintain a tidy appearance. Wear gloves when handling, as the leaves can be sharp.
How to Water
Water pampas grass regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Once established, it’s drought-tolerant and requires minimal watering. Water deeply during dry spells, but avoid overwatering, as they prefer well-drained soil.
How to Plant
Choose a sunny spot with well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice as wide and the same depth as the root ball. Place the plant, backfill with soil, and water well. Space plants 150-180cm apart to allow room for growth. Mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
