Product description
Cyrtomium fortunei 'Clivicola' is a compact, evergreen, hardy fern with arching fronds of leathery, matte-look, light green leaves. Known as Arching Fortune's cyrtomium, this fern is slightly smaller in size than its type species with larger, more angled pinnae. If the plant is positioned in bright light, it can fade in colour. So, it is best suited to an area with deeper shade.
Plant in moist, well drained, humus rich soil. Will tolerate most soil types. Prefers full or partial shade.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may, therefore, differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. This plant will be supplied in a grower’s pot.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Cyrtomium plants prefer humid environments, so consider misting the leaves or planting near other moisture-loving plants.
How to Water
Water Cyrtomium regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Avoid overwatering, as excessive moisture can lead to root rot. Ensure good drainage to prevent standing water.
How to Plant
Plant Cyrtomium in a shady spot with well-draining, slightly acidic soil. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, place the fern, and cover with soil. Add mulch around the base to retain moisture and keep the roots cool.
