Product description

This six pack of Dahlia Figaro Yellow Shades bedding plants will create a dazzling theme with its palette of bright shades. A fast-growing, bushy, upright variety with vibrant, yellow double blooms. Dahlias are usually grown as annuals but with their tubers they are actually perennials and can be lifted in autumn, stored over the winter and replanted the following spring. This classic Dahlia variety will produce an abundant amount of flowers from June to October and create wonderful, long-lasting displays in your garden borders and containers.

Plant in moist, well-drained soil in a good location with plenty of exposure to full sunlight. Regular watering and cutting flowers from this plant will improve performance. These plants have a dwarf growing habit; however, pinching out the growing tips in early summer will help it develop a bushier plant.

Please Note: Images are for illustrative purposes only and designed to be a representation of the item(s) being sold. Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth.

Instructions

Top Tip

Deadhead bedding plants regularly to encourage continuous blooms and prevent the plants from going to seed too quickly. This keeps your garden vibrant all season long.

How to Water

Water bedding plants deeply after planting, then regularly to keep soil evenly moist, especially during dry periods. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. Water in the morning to allow leaves to dry and reduce the risk of fungal diseases.

How to Plant

Choose an area of good light with well-drained soil to loosen. Mix in compost for nutrients. Space plants evenly to allow growth. Gently remove plants from their packs, place in holes at the same depth as in the container, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly.
