Product description

Daphne ‘Eternal Fragrance' is a lovely option for patio potting and container planting. Make sure you put it somewhere people will pass often to catch a whiff of the sweetly scented, small white flowers which produce a heady fragrance that would put a smile on anyone’s face. ‘Eternal Fragrance’ is also a long flowering shrub, meaning you’ll get that great aroma from Spring right through to Autumn. It is a compact bush which makes it easy to prune and shape.

Grow in fertile, Humus rich, well-drained soil. Avoid dry soil and overwatering. Keep in full or partial sun while root and base are shaded and cool. Avoid disturbing roots as Daphne’s are known to resent being moved after planting.

Instructions

Top Tip

Daphne prefers a sheltered spot, away from harsh winds, to protect its delicate flowers and leaves.

How to Water

Water Daphne deeply but infrequently, ensuring the soil is moist but not soggy. Avoid overhead watering to prevent diseases. Water at the base of the plant to keep the foliage dry.

How to Plant

Plant Daphne in well-drained, slightly acidic soil with plenty of sunlight or partial shade. Dig a hole that is slightly larger than the root ball, place the plant, and backfill with soil. Water well and mulch to maintain moisture.
