Product description
The “Pink Pom Pom” is a wonderful, hardy shrub which blooms bundles of flowers at the end of its branches. It prefers sun and partially shaded areas.
It does best in fertile and well-draining soils. After flowering, older stems should be pruned to the base, removing about every one of three of these older branches.
In addition to being a hardy variety that survives harsh winter conditions, it also is drought-resistant. It makes a nice addition to rock gardens or other areas where you have drought tolerant plants.
The flowers are beautiful and look like groups of wild, little “pom poms” all over the ends of the branches. The beautiful pink-hued blooms attract a number of pollinators, including bees, butterflies and birds.
The leaves are an elongated blade shape that vary from a light green with hints of lime or yellow during the primary growing season. In the autumn, the leaves can turn to a beautiful red color before autumning off in preparation for winter.
As it is a more compact shrub, it works well in urban gardens and landscaping.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Prune Deutzia after blooming to shape the plant and remove any dead or damaged wood for better airflow and more vibrant flowers next season.
How to Water
Water Deutzia regularly, especially during dry periods, but allow the soil to dry between waterings. Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogging, as Deutzia prefers slightly moist, not soggy, conditions.
How to Plant
Plant Deutzia in well-drained, slightly acidic soil with full to partial sunlight. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, place the plant in the hole, and backfill with soil. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch to retain moisture.
