Product description
This striking evergreen garden shrub boasts aromatic hairy leaves in a distinctive shade of bright golden-green. The fragrance is citrussy with a refreshing lemony scent. Masses of small white flowers emerge in late February-early March and last for around 4 months. When flowering season is almost over the blooms turn pale pink and produce little seed-bearing fruits.
Diosma hirsuta Sunset Gold is native to South Africa and thrives in dry, poor soil. It is ideal for decorating borders and rock gardens, but also does well in pots and containers where it brightens up patios, balconies and terraces.
This dense shrub flourishes in a bright sunny spot that is sheltered from wind. It prefers well-drained soil and dislikes its roots getting too wet. As such, it only needs to be watered during particularly dry spells once established.
Diosma hirsuta Sunset Gold is also known as Confetti Bush or Fisherman’s Plant. When coming back to shore, fishermen would rub their hands through the bush, replacing the smell of fish with the scent of lemon.

Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.
