A bushy, clump forming, semi-evergreen, hardy fern, known commonly as Curly Crested Male Fern. The Dryopteris filix-mas 'Crispa Cristata' produces crested, bright green fronds with curled, ruffled-look pinnae. It thrives best in damp, shaded areas like a woodland garden or as a border plant.
Low maintenance plant that thrives in partial to full shade. Plant in moist, well drained soil. Can tolerate partial or full sun if watered regularly.

How to Plant
Plant Dryopteris ferns in a shaded or partially shaded area with moist, well-draining soil rich in organic matter. Dig a hole large enough for the root ball, place the plant, and backfill with soil. Space plants about 45-60cm apart. Water thoroughly after planting.
